Small Handyman Jobs in Stratford-upon-Avon

You don't need a big project to get in touch. If there's a shelf to put up, a door to adjust or a collection of little jobs that never quite gets finished, send me the list and a few photos.

The practical bits

Typical jobs

Not an exhaustive list. If your job sounds similar, send me a photo and I'll take a look.

  • Putting up shelves
  • Door adjustments
  • Loose handles and hinges
  • Boxing-in
  • Furniture assembly
  • Skirting and trim repairs

Small jobs are still worth doing properly

It's easy to live with a loose handle or a door that catches because neither feels like a large enough job to arrange on its own. I do take on those jobs. Shelves need suitable fixings and a sensible position; hinges and handles need adjusting so they work rather than merely looking straight. The same goes for a short run of damaged skirting or a bit of pipework that needs boxing in.

If the door is causing most of the trouble, there's more detail on my doors and repairs page.

Put the list in one message

If you've got several small things to sort, write them down together. A shelf in one room, a sticking cupboard door in another and a flat-pack piece waiting in its box may be easier to plan as one visit. Tell me what matters most in case the list is longer than the time available. I can then be clearer about what I expect to get through.

For wardrobes, beds, drawers and desks in particular, see my furniture assembly work. It's helpful to mention the make and model if you have them.

Photos help me understand the job

Take one photo showing the whole area and another close up of the part that's broken, loose or needs fitting. For shelves or boxing-in, rough widths and heights help. For a door, show the point where it catches as well as its hinges. You don't need a formal description: a short list beside the photos is enough to start a conversation.

Common questions

Is one small job enough to get in touch?

Yes. Tell me what needs doing, even if it's only one shelf or one adjustment. Photos help me judge what's involved.

Can I send several jobs at once?

Please do. Put the list in one WhatsApp message and include a photo of each area, so I can see which jobs might fit into the same visit.

How does pricing work?

Send me a few photos on WhatsApp with rough sizes where useful. I'll let you know if I can help and give you an idea of the cost.
