Minor Plumbing & Handyman Repairs Across Warwickshire

A dripping tap or a slow leak under the sink is the sort of job that's easy to put off, especially when it only seems to happen now and then. I can look at repairing a leaking tap or replacing one that's worn out. If you've already bought a replacement, let me know what you've got so I can check how it will fit with the sink.

Water around the cupboard base can come from the tap connections, the trap or the sink waste, so it's useful to see where the drip starts rather than just where it ends up. Send a photo of the tap, the pipework underneath and any isolation valve you can see. I take on these fixes as part of my work as a handyman in Stratford-upon-Avon, alongside other practical jobs around the home.

A cistern that keeps running, a toilet that won't flush properly, a loose seat or a slow leak at the base can all be frustrating to live with. Toilet and cistern repairs are often straightforward fixes once I've seen what's happening and can identify the parts involved. A short video can be particularly helpful for an intermittent flush or a cistern that keeps filling.

If you can see a make or model inside the cistern or on the toilet, include that too. And if exposed pipework or the surrounding room needs attention afterwards, I also do boxing-in and bathroom finishing.

A sink that feels blocked, drains slowly or leaks into the cupboard may need its waste or trap checked and replaced. Tell me when you notice the problem and send a photo from above and below the sink; that gives me a better idea of what's fitted and how much room there is to work.

I can also reseal baths and showers where the old silicone has split, lifted or gone mouldy. That means cutting out the old seal before running a clean new bead, rather than simply covering it over.
